I keep coming upon the same problem in Indesign 2.0. I have Excel spreadsheets linked to different Indesign documents & if I go in & change the Excel file then relink it blows away all my formating (ie table width/height) and I notice that the fitting option is not available. Does anyone know how to save the format in Indesign & still be able to relink the "updated" Excel spreadsheet? I was under the impression that the idea behind importing Excel files was for that very reason, so if multiple files have the same information & that information changes you only have to change it once in Excel not in every Indesign doc it's linked to, but if I have to go back in & reformat, so it appears on the page properly what's the point?
