I need a little light shed on something. I'm trying to get excel opened up, updated from a table, closed. Then I need Access tables to update from the Excel sheet. I think I have the last part figured out. It's getting Excel to update that is my problem. I tried calling excel and calling a macro but it causes excel to freeze in memory instead of updating like it should. Any ideas?

Or, just manipulate the values directly in Ms. A? There is VERY little in Excel that is not avail in Ms. A and most of that can be implemented just by including the excel library in the references for Ms. A.

ummm....I'm think I know what you mean, but these values had to be entered as text, due to text options that are required in the same field. So I really had to export the text to excel for calculation. This also gives the boss a running total sheet for percentages, so it serves a dual purpose. But I think you guys might be getting close! Keep up the good work and let me know if there is something else I can try. I'm thinking code is my only solution here. I'll keep trying!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm,

Something about leading the horse somewhere but not getting it to ???? comes to mind. At my age, exact quotes are difficult.
