Updating dynamic parameter values

Hi,

Using either the business view manager xi, or in cr xi, is it possible to insert additional values into a dynamic parameter?

for example;

if I have the values:

america -> chicago
america -> new york

and I want to add a parameter option of

america -> other cities

which would get handled differently in the selection criteria, how would I go about customizing dynamic parameter values?

Not sure how the Business View handles this, but in setting this up for table based values, I use a Command Object and a query of:

(Oracle example):
select 'Other Cities' City from dual
UNION ALL
select city from table

Perhaps you can do something similar in the design of the Business View.

Interesting. Didn't think of that, but that could be a workaround. Not sure I could make weave it into a dynamic parameter, but it's worth some investigation.

Business views seem to be a bit limited...

I avoid BVs, instead using standard database views.

Avoids the proprietary layer, which is always key to me.
