Updating data in a form based on crosstab query

I have a table containing a list of documents, each of these documents has multiple records pertaining to it in another linked table. In order to display the information from the child table in one line with the document details, within a form, I am using a crosstab query, which forms part of the forms control source.

My problem is that due to the crosstab query I cannot update information using this form, which was to be it's main function!

Is there any other way of presenting this child data on a single line other than using a crosstaab query or is there a way to force the query to allow an update?
