I have an Access 97 database that uses alot of module coding. We are planning to upgrade to Access 2000 within 12 months. To prepare I decided to do a test conversion of the DB. I opened Access 2000 and tried to convert my Access 97 DB. It gave me errors and said I need to update my code. The only solution I've found was on Microsoft's Technet's site under Q199064 - "ACC2000: Compile Error After You Convert Database with old DAO Code". My problem is how am I suppose to know how to correct ALL of my code if I don't know where to begin?

Thanks. Rob

Hello!
Well, i had to go through that a few weeks ago. Sometimes, if you go to the menu Tools, select Database Utilities, and the click on Convert To Current Version of Access, or something like that, it works perfectly, but sometimes there are a few simple code errors that you must fix! There are times when this isn't enough and you have to go to VB Editor and change the references on the tools menu. In case of code errors once the conversion is done, my sugestion is to run the database and fix the errors as they appear.

Hope it helps!!
