This topic has been discussed a lot in this forum even before. Most of the people have asked to look in the example provided in Books online. Please note that I did try that example to get an understanding of how this works. Kindly note that the example view when updated does update without throwing any errors. But then when you look at the underlying table one of th ecolumns is not updated and always its the field that one uses to link tables which is missed in the update of the underlying table.
Yes I am talking about the person , EmployeeTable and Employee example provided in Books Online.
I am sure there is a way around it. Since I am new to updatable views , thought I will get some guidance on this.
