Updating a table using information from a query

I have a table (TBL1) which list Test scripts in Cycle 1 and the status ie passed or failed. I have run a query (QRY1) to see what has passed and failed in Cycle two I am trying to update (TBL1) with the results from the query (QRY1)

When I try to create an Update Query (QRY2) and link the table (TBL1) to the Query (QRY1) and try to run it it moans saying 'This query is not updateble'

Does anyone know how I can update information from a QRY to a TABLE?

My Boss is breathing down my neck on this one

Any chance you could post the SQL code of QRY1 and which updates you want to make to TBL1 ?
