First, please explain what business benefit there is for having two identical records in a table? That actually is a relational-concepts "No no". If you can offer a good business rationale for two identical records, I'll be glad to explain how to update one and not the other.
More appropriately, I'll be glad to explain to you how to get rid of duplicate records, leaving one unique record.
