Updating 25 WIndows XP PRO SP2 Workstations

I have a Network consisting of 1 WIndows 2000 Server and 25 XP Pro Workstations with SP2.
Given the nature of our business and applications, I can't allow each workstation to automatically download XP updates. I need to schedule updates & carry them all out at a time when I can keep users off their systems.
Is there any alternative to physically going to each PC & repeatedly running WIndows Update? I keep hearing about SP3 but I gather we won't see it until 2008 if at all.

I check it out & WSUS needs a WIndows 2003 Server. My Server is WIndows 2000.

PS: You didn't do your homework, just looked and saw W2k3 as a requirement, which of course Windows tries to push as it is newer than w2k server (soon they will start to push the W2k8 Longhorn Server)...
