I am trying to distribute Windows Updates to our Domain Controllers but they
are failing on some. We have two domains set up in a parent/child fashion.
Our SMS server is on the child domain and I don't have and issues sending
packages to those DC's but the ones that are on the parent domain are
failing. I also have an Advanced Client Network Access Account configured with the parent domain admin credentials and we have a transitive trust on the parent domain. I get the following error in the patchinstall.log:
ERROR: Failed to load AuthorizationList --
\\SMS1\SMSPKGD$\CEN00063\PatchAuthorize.xml. UpdatesInstallMgr 8/16/2006

Failed to get updates list. hRes = ox80004005 UpdatesInstallMgr 8/16/2006

Failed to evaluate updates. hRes = 0x80004005 UpdatesInstallMgr 8/16/2006

I have looked on other newsgroups and found that it is probably a
rights issue but I am not sure what I need to look at next. Can anyone
help?
Thank you,
Paul
