Dear nice folks,

My Windows 98 Second Edition desktop failed to start:
- Desktop power LEDs (both power and hard disk) stays on yellow, no LED on keyboard, CD-ROM does not eject/open, blank monitor, only cooling fans work.

I have tried:

- Taking it off surge protector and changing the outlet.
- CMOS battery has just been replaced to eliminate the possibility of battery failure, but still not starting.

Presumably, the pc is virus-free (anti virus, personal firewall installed).

Your advice will be highly appreciated.
God bless!

What is the exact message you are getting? Have you made sure that the suspend options in bios are turned off? Jay [infinity]
