How do I know a file has been updated so I can use Get Latest Version?! I don't want my co-workers yell at me "I'VE UPDATED COMMON.CPP!" or click Get Latest Version every now and then because a file MAY HAVE been updated!

One way is to do a project compare against your working directory. It'll show you all of the files that are different.
