On the Symantec System Console right click the server or at the server group level if you have one and select Liveupdate. You will see that it's default is to recieve it's liveupdate from the Symantec Live update server.

yes, but this will update the server , and will not update the clients !!!
also , it will update the server every 3 days !
and because of the viruses attacks thesedays , we need to update the servers and the clients every day ! maybe twice a day also !

Then you need to watch to see when the new intelligent updater comes out, Live update only comes out every thursday evening at 8:00pm. We have approx. 40 NAV managers with over a thousand clients each. When the new definitions come out we put the new definitions directly on the master who in-turn updates the secondary AV managers and every 60 minutes the clients check in for new definitions. If we are in a hurry we use the update now in the Virus Definition manager and this pushes the new defs to the clients. When you update the servers and the clients aren't updating then they are either not managed or there is a miss-configuration.

Thank you for your help ..
