Nortel Meridian phone system is running approximately 7 minutes behind the server....thanks

There are no connections yet (that I know of) between the Nortel PBXs and the data world for time sync (I've asked serveral times). So you must change the time manually.
LD 2
STAD mm dd yyyy HH MM SS
month day year Hour Minute Second

Note: don't carriage return like you do for other prompts. Just space and put the command and the time fields all on one line with spaces.

LD 2
.TTAD tell time and date
.STAD set time and date

.TDTA time and date adjustment, slows or speeds the clock

Remember that you NEVER set the clock backwards, as this might cause major problems to the database (Timeslots already existing etc.)
To set the time forward you can use the solution "STAD mm dd yyyy HH MM SS" like NTOldTimer mentioned.

So what do you do in the event that you need to set the time back ?

He is correct in that retarding the time does cause problems, but when you live in a country that has daylight saving, then you are stuffed. As we have Symposium, we time it so we change it when it will cause the least ammount of problems with corrupt reports (often resets stats for that hour to 0 and all GRTD ones go a bit bonkers as well).
Unless anyone knows a way around this (our suppliers don't) then it's a case of grin and bear it.

Stu..

If your time is consistently ending up 7 minutes off in a given time frame read thread 798-758569 you will see it explains about using TDTA and SDTA in ld 2 to correct the clock from lagging behind.

Daylight savings is ofcourse covered by the switch:
LD 2
TDST to display the status of the daylight savings settings

Note: be sure that SDST = ON to check these settings !!

To change the March time

type FWTM_03_L_sun_3 (where L stands for the last sunday of the 3rd month and 3 stands for @ 3 AM)

To change the October time

type BWTM_10_L_sun_3 (where L stands for the last sunday of the 10th month and 3 stands for @ 3 AM)

Found all your posts very helpful. Our switch seems to lose the right time after a few months. Staff love it cos they get away a few minutes early! Management hate it for the same reason. So, this is common then?

What's the format for using TDTA?

Don't know where you life, but in Europe (The main land) the time goes forward at 2am not 3am

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time Windows crashed... Oh wait, he does...

you can set a daily time adjustment if it is always off by 7 minutes

to set
sdta X y -- X Y
X=0 negative and 1 for postive incremnt
y 0-60 sec adjustment in increments of 100 ms
