We have MLX-10DP phones and Merlin Magix PBX. I have updated the time in the PBX but it didn't update time on the extensions. Can you please let me know how can i do that?

The clock updates the telephones just once a day. However, if you unplug an MLX for a bit and plug it back in, the date/time should be updated right away. It may also be updated the moment a phone call is made to that extension.

Don't be surprised (in walking through a large shop) to find that there is a one or two minute variance between phones' clocks. That's because the phones are updated just one at a time as a "background" process.

I realize that I use "may" and "probably" several times here, but a lot of this has to do with revision interoperability. For example, did you know that Merlin Messaging gets it's time update from the MAGIX when the first call to voicemail is made? That's true for the MAGIX (which is quite cool), but not so for the Legend. See what I mean?

By the way, good call on the MLX-10DP phones. I prefer the DPs in favor of the MLX-10D. Except for the slight labeling difference, they look identical. However, there is a known bug where the MLX-10D (but NOT the MLX-10DP) has a tendency to "go to sleep" at weird times, like after a switch reboot.

I have reset the power and made calls to all the extensions but time is still not updated.

I have updated the system time through winspm and it worked. thanks to this forum.

Great!

I was going to suggest that if the Operator console clock was OK, then you'll just have the give the switch additional latitude and let it work it's way through to the remaining extensions.

If the console clock was still incorrect, then something didn't "take" when you made the time change.

thats strange....after I change the time in the switch...it
ALWAYS updates after I hit enter....never have known it to
be anyother way. What release processor do you have???? if
it is older you may need to upgrade....just a thought.
