Hi,

I linked a table to this flat file I had in my harddisk. I added a column into that flat file but the changes didn't replicate in my link table because I didn't add that new column in the first place when I created the linked tbale.

Is there an easy way of updating the linked table I have to replicate the additional column?

Cheers,
Maria

Have you tried to refresh the link ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

Hi PHV,

I did try to do something via Tools > Database Utilities > Linked Table Manager, it didn't work (

Can you provide a step-by-step procedures on how will i refresh the link? The only way I know to refresh the link is to close the database and open it again hoping to see the newly added column but it failed (maybe because the newly added column isn't there yet when I setup the link table). I do remember I was asked to specify the columns I want to link when setting up the link table.

Hope I didn't confuse you that much.

Many thanks again,
Maria
