We cancelled some phone lines and now the routing (line choice) on our Norstar System (M0X16,M12X0, Modular ICS, Applications Module) needs to be updated so the system doesn't access the disconnected lines. Where can I find infomation to update the routing (line choice)? Or can anyone tell me how to do this on the system?

(I believe it is an 3.0 system).

Thanks in Advance.

Is this a 'dial 9' type of routing you are describing?

No, sorry if I wasn't clear enough. This is a problem where we had like 6 phone lines and there was a certain order that they were assigned as people made out going calls. Now that we have removed some phone lines, when some people pick up a phone they get silence b/c the system is connecting to the disconnected phoneline.

You need to find out what line pool they were assigned to. If you are using more than 1 pool, you will have to do some searching. If you are only using one line pool, check which lines are assigned to it, and remove the lines that were cancelled.

What commmand do I enter to get to the editing the line pool?
Should I be using the administration menu **config?

Use F**config press next to lines at lines press list then show(when you find the lines you want) at trunk line data press show press next untill line type then press change till public. That will take the disconnected lines out of the pool.

When I get in to the F** adminstration system, I get the following menus:
Terminals & Sets
Lines
Services
Sys speed dial
Passwords
Time & Date
System prgrming

When I go into the lines menu, it says "show line: ___" once I select a line all it does is allow me to change the name of the line. (the name that shows up on the phone display when the phone is connected to that line).

Is there a different menu that I'm supposed to go into? Also, the phones don't have a show button.

Please disregard the previous post. I have figured out the problem. I don't have the installer password but have the system coordinator password. I can't seem to find where we have the installer password, is there a default installer password or a way I can recover it?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks wayne987. I got it all working. Thanks to all who helped.
