I am running an update query to populate empty fields in a table. The "update to" criteria is a calculation relying on the prevously calculated field value in the update query. I am having to run the query several times (once per each update calculation). Is there a reason for this?

Thanks

Mike

If you are trying to Update Column A and then Update column B based on column A, you will have to run multiple queries. Queries use the data that exists in the column when the query starts not on the value just stored in the column.

If this doesn't answer your question, please post your query. Terry L. Broadbent
