I can eliminate the question "Are you sure you want to run this type of query?" in Access, but I am struggling to understand how to eliminate it when the .mde is used with only the RUNTIME on the computer. I have tried to change security and only caused problems. Any thoughts as to where to head next would be much appreciated.

Hi gdfmike,

A possible reason for this is that confirm Action Queries might be unchecked in Options. Runtime Access ignores this.

Docmd.Setwarnings False
'Put the query here
Docmd.Setwarnings True

This can be easily forgotten when deploying Runtime Access.

BP, That was the solution. Thanks for the insight. This was easily forgotten (oops, I never new it).

What a Forum!!

Just a further bit of info, the following turns on/off Confirm Action Queries:

Application.SetOption ("Confirm Action Queries"), 1 'on

Application.SetOption ("Confirm Action Queries"), 0 'off

BP,
Again thanks because this further bit of info helped me solve another problem. You gotta get a star for this!
