Update PPD not working 1

Hello all
Pagemaker V6.52, Mac.
update ppd feature returns error message “laserwriter cannot be found” and won’t install new ppds from system folder.

Copy them manually to the folder. The path should read something like C:\PM65\RSRC\USENGLSH\PPD4 where USENGLSH will be your language. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

to save me searching, what folder does it expect the ppd's to be in?

When I export with distiller set rather than pdf this is the one report that export cautions me on. it seem to pdf the file anyway.

Cresby.. the folder would be similar to what I posted above. The difference would be if you have PM on other than your C drive, or if youinstalled to other than default, or if you are using Mac, or if you have other than US version in which case USENGLISH will be your language. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

The ppd's must be placed in the system folder in the subfolder "printer descriptions".
