First off, thanks to everyone who has helped me. I touch this stuff once every year or two so it comes back to me but you people save me days of searching.

The customer wanted to:

* Add a second PRI.
* Set up the second PRI a fail over for the first.

This is what I did:

* Print CEQU in LD 22.
* Duplicate DLOP settings from exsisting loop for the new loop in LD 17.
* Print ADAN DCH info of exsisting DCH.
* Duplicate general settings for new DCH in LD 17.
* Print RDB in LD 21 of RDB 0 (existing).
* Created new route in LD 16 (route 54) and copied RDB 0 settings.
* Printed trunk members for original PRI in 21.
* Created new trunk members for route 54 in LD 14.
* Updated the RLB in LD 86, entry 0 was route 0, now entry 1 is route 54.

Does this sound about right?

My two questions:

1.) I do not have any cards, cables or CSU/DSU installed. I am trying to bring the PRI/DCH up and down (it is down now) just to see all of my channel's but I cannot. When I try to enable the DCH or loop I get errors.

2.) The customer wants one 2616 to always dial out on route 0 and another 2616 to always dial out on route 54. How is that done?

3.) How do I print out the detailed information for my loops? The only info I see for each loop is in LD 22 under CEQU. I want to see all of the prompts like when I print "adan dch x".

This what I see when I try to enable the loop (the loop and dch are disabled).

DTI4135

This is what I see when I try to enable the dch by itself

DCH042

This is what I see when I try to disable the dch (even though it is already disabled)

DCH1019
DCH1014

Here are the error codes you are getting.

DTI4135
Cannot enable DTI loop unless the TMDI card is operational.
Ensure the card is plugged in, then enable the card.
Severity: Info

DCH0042
MSDL card has to be in operational state

DCH1019
DCHI is hardware disabled.

Severity: Minor

DCH1014
Invalid DCHI status due to software/hardware mismatch
1. Disable and re-enable the DCHI card
2. Check DCHI status
Severity: Minor

Yea I guess I need to wait for the card, they are giving me a 8 hour window from when the card is plugged in until it goes live so I wanted to see things up but whatever, if they give me that time frame I will do what I can within it.

Thank you!

If you can schedule down time on the main PRI than disable it and use it's hardware to test your newly built PRI. You can also test the new PRI by disabling the main PRI, unplugging and plugging in the new PRI to the main pri's hardare and enabling. If I had a 8 hour time frame I would like to at least verify the new PRI is good from the telco.

you could loop up the cable from the Opt11 end also, try to get the smart jack to go green. You have to have cards in the system for it to respond. LD 60 is where you can see the details on the loop, there isn't much to see, the more importatnt info is the dch and the route. You can force calls out a certain route by manipulating it with the frls and/or targ
