update microcode power5 error

When im updating microcode im using the rpm package, however,
anybody of you encounter this, everytime i explode the update microcode using rpm -ihv --ignoreos "fwpackage"
it says package already installed. however, if i check on the firmware is still old. How to solve this one.? thanks alot

this is only the first step next goto diags and select Task Selection , then Download microcode, select items to install code to. The rom file put the microcode to /etc/microcode directory. The docs explain it well
