i need to update our 6.5.1 system next week
i have already updated the test setup and it was ok
but i notice a previous post about issues
unfortunately i need to do this next week so cant wait for sp1
i am not going to auto up date clients for a we while so run with 6.5 clients except in one area

if i down;oad the existing 7 cd's from site
what other [patches are recommecnded ?

Are you talking about GW7 running on NW6.5.1? You should be fine. I just did this last week in a clusted environment. The thing I would recommend though is download the FTF's from Novell's Beta patch site and use them instead of the original CD's. The FTF's are way more stable than the original code, and many of the fixes are being slated for SP1.

more or less
it's a groupwise 6.5.1 on netware 6.5 sp 3 with a few oes

will have a look at beta site
unfortunately need to install within next fortnight so hopefully sp1 may be there before this but it not will go with above

where the issues mainly client orientated or back end

Some client issues. Some back end. Biggest server issues I saw was the system abending hard when unloading GWIA. That's fixed now. A few client issues also fixed were some display issues with the calendar..

Going with GW7 for the Outlook integration is a terrible reason to upgrade UNLESS you have PITA users that think that the world revolves around outlook. Then you give it to them and tell them to shut up.

There are a lot of cool new client features that make the trip worth it. In the past, most GW versions changed primarly on the backend. This version of GW includes a dramatically changed Client experience which is what it really needed.

Webaccess is also a huge reason. It rocks on GW7.
