I'm using 5.2, after updated the OS to 5.2-01, I try to patch it to ML-03, but failed, it always prompt "cd is busy" after installed a period of time, I 've no idea of it.

Do I need to update ML step by step (say ML2->3,4...) or I can update to ML07 without applying ML 1 to 6? Thanks!

You can update to ML7 directly without going to all of this sequence

but why it gives you cd busy?!? it shouldn't!

what's the output of:

fuser /dev/cd#

(# is your cd number)

Regards,
Khalid

You can go directly to ML 7.

I typically do ML upgrades from an NFS Server. I prefer to download the ML from the website ML0-ML7. You might try this if you can't get the cdrom working properly.

Well, if you specify the /dev/cd0 device as the source of packages, it should not be mounted beforewards.

If you specify the cdrom mount point directory as the source of packages, it should work fine.
