Update LAN using DTE port

I had a go at this following the thread at

because I had a problem with the Manager laptop but I get

Anyway I eventually got the Manager laptop working and used that.

The below sequence "should" work but as it is undocumented AVAYA can change it at will.

Hook up a serial cable, use PuTTy 38400,8,N,1
type AT<enter>
If sytem responds

Type at-debug (no capitals)<enter>
Type updatelan<enter>
Current LAN1: ipaddr: 192.168.42.1 mask: 255.255.255.0 (LAN port)
Current LAN2: ipaddr: 128.75.0.100 mask: 255.255.255.0 (WAN port)

Enter which lan interface (lan1 or lan2): lan1 (or hit enter to leave unchanged)

Enter IP address (a.b.c.d): 10.10.10.1<enter>
Enter IP mask (a.b.c.d): 255.255.255.0<enter>
Add default gateway (yes or no)? 10.10.10.254<enter>
Start WriteConfig at f7e0969c, savemode SaveNormal, writetype ToFlash
Start WriteConfig at f7e0969c, savemode SaveNormal, writetype ToFile

Thanks Intigrant and that's the procedure that I followed but I just get Error when I type updatelan. I notice it is not in the help.

lanstatus works OK.

This is release 5 so it can't be any recent changes.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Tried this in a V2 with R9.0 and it works OK - and updatelan is listed in the help. This suggests it was added after R5.0
