Is there anyway to update a group by query?

I have a query thats based off a group by query and two tables...I need to be able to create a check box so that when the record is complete the person will not see that record again..

Thanks in advance

No, there's no way to update a group by query, because one row in the output could correspond to multiple rows in the input. Since there's no one-to-one correspondence, which of the original rows should be updated?

You might be able to restructure your query, if in fact there really is a single row you need to update. But you'll have to post the query's SQL and a description of how the tables are related (parent/child). A description of what you're trying to accomplish, in business terms, would be good, too.
