Hello,
Several months ago i posted a thread stating that I was a voiceman hoping to get a CCNA. Well after 3 months I finally passed yesterday with a 885. Failed first time with 815. Those who remember will also remember that I was hoping to complete in a month. Well, due to naivety, lack of time and general lack of motivation at some points, it took what you fellas said (3months).
Although I had relatively no history with Cisco/data, hard work has paid off, with the held of Mr Lammle, Cisco website, Boson, plus anything i could get my hands on (including this site that was very useful). I have to admit that i did use pratice tests from 'how2pass' in the last couple of weeks, but these gave me a good idea of the format of questions and boosted my confidence.
One question if i may?I passed the 640-801, i'm aware that this is still running till november, but my pass sheet has the little r (retired, I assume). Can you still call yourself a CCNA if you pass the 640-801 instead of the 802 between July and Nov? I have checked other threads!!!
Anyway, thanks for all you help, advice. I'm going to go back to my voice side, but the ccna has certainly helped me in the voip field and you never know cisco voip pbx in the future. The stalwarts, might call me a paper ccna, as I'm probably not going to work with cisco ios on a day to day basis, but the theroy was my aim and it has been very good in these terms
I'm hoping to contribute where i can in the future here too.
Thanks all again.
