Hello,

I am sorry i am a novice. I bought the sd card with version 9.0 essential edition. My current system version is 7.0. While in 7.0 i have added the essential edition license that came with the sd card. Saved it and then swapped the sd card. The system updates and so does the phone connected to it but after that system is not detected on the network and phone gives me error

Showing the mac of ip office v2 and No License Available.

Any suggestions as to hold to proceed and fix this issue.

Thank you very much

You would need to upgrade the system properly by installing the version of Manager on your computer that matches the SD card you have. Before doing anything, assuming you have the old ADI licences, take a backup of all licence codes and keep them handy in an Excel spreadsheet just to be safe. Also back up your configuration too.

Once you've installed the version of Manager that matches the SD card, upgrade by going to File > Advanced > Upgrade.

Before you do anything, make sure you save the licence codes and a back up of your configuration just to be safe.

Once the upgrade is complete, log into Manager again to ensure the licence codes are still listed. If not, input the ADI licence codes again.

Thank you very much for your help. I did as you instructed but after the update and system reboot the phone, it shows the MAC ID and " No License Available". My card has essential License with version 9.0 and that is the ip office software version I am currently running. Any suggestions?

Are you able to take some screenshots to show me what you mean?
It sounds like you haven’t added back your license codes…

Thanks, Tim

If you take an IP 500 V2 locked into R7 and then upgrade to R9 you need to purchase an upgrade license or you will get unlicensed. You can not purchase upgrade licenses anymore for R9 so you will need to either revert the SD card to R7 or you will need to migrate to R11.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
