Hi,
I have a project written in FPW 2.6, and its having some problems, after trying to solve the problems, with no use, I decided to pass it to VFP 6.0 but I dont have the distribution disks, is there any caution to be taken in the process, and where can I find a downloadable distribution disks for VFP 6.0 (if it exists, or whatever the alternative is ??)

Usamah Sayed,

VFP 6.0 only had one "version" whether you bought it separtely or with Visual Studio. Either has the distribuiton capability built-in. The best way is to use the Setup Wizard - there is lots of information in the help file.

Note: If you are going to use VFP 6.0, make sure you upgrade to Service Pack level 5. It can still be downloaded at at While there used to be a link to order a CD, it seems to have been removed when they made SP6 available. Unfortunately, there are no updates for VFP 6.0 in this SP and it doesn't include the old SP5 fixes. <s> With a fast connection you can download the "Visual FoxPro, Visual InterDev, and Visual J++ (approximately 74 MB)" patches. You can get it in one piece, or in 8 smaller pieces at
