update form STILL causing problems! 1

greetings.
Further to my earlier mail, i still haven't grasped this simple operation!
Currently, no matter HOW I put together the form, the new data is inserted into the first recordL.

It's a simple table - id, name, news (this is what's being updated) and a hidden date field.

all help very welcome, this has been bugging me for days!

You must have a recordset defined

is id unique?

if so when you select Server Behaviour> Update record

the option is where id = passed value of formid field Live long and make your kids suffer..
