Update errors

I need some assistants. I am updating a table from unbound text boxes on a form. The problem is sometimes the textboxes are left blank(Null) therefore creating a validation violation error. Any Ideas?

Rs!Col1 = Nz(Me!Col1,0)
Rs!Col2 = Nz(Me!Col1," &quot

or

If Not IsNull(Me!Col1) Then
Rs!Col1 = Me!Col1
end if
