Update Empty Field

Hi, I have a table that I import using an OBDC connection, and I have a new table which I have created using vba. Each of these tables contains a field which references a parcel's roll number. What I want to do is take the roll data from the OBDC table and insert into the table that I created. But when I try and run an update query, none of the data shows up in the table that I created. I tried creating a relationship, and still nothing happens.

it sounds like you are trying to add records into a table via a query? if so, use an append query instead of an update query. update queries will update existing records, whereas append queries 'add' onto tables with or without records.
