First, I'm not a programmer. Please keep responses simple! I have set up a database using MySQL. I am attempting to "front end" MySQL with MS Access - particullary forms based input.
There are 2 MySQL tables defined, one that maintains all of the recods that I require, and one that is used to support a Combo Box defined in the form. The objective for the combo box is simple. It contains a pricing level name (product code a, product code b, etc.), the price associated with the name, and the MSRP value. There are 2 additional text boxes (pulled from the field list - supposedly bound?) that reference columns from the combo box input; price and MSRP. When I create a new record the results of both the combo box and the text boxes work fine. However, when I try to modify a record the change in the form is not being saved back to the table? Do I need to invoke an expression or macro to tell Access to update the table? If so, how?
