Hy,

I mada e excel workbook, where I also inserted one other excel workbook sheets.
Everything is noce but in other workbook will be data update once in month. Today I just moved (copyed) all that workbook sheets into my prime workbook.

Right know I should once in a month update one sheet, copy it again. This isn't good solution.

I made all this little easyer for me I wrote that for example A1=WorkbookXSheet!2A1
This simple formula can't help me, because I have lots of data and my excel file what first was 1 mb fill be after all those links 166 mb!

So my question is - is there any other possibility to link data with two different workbook but same name sheets? Any VBA code could also help.

I have one more possibility to link needed data, I just will use copy sheet as a way to move needed sheets from one file to another. Then this sheet, where data will change would stay its original place. But before I will use this method I'm interested different possibilities, if there are any of those :)

Unfortunately this solutions dosen't work with my situation, because to use database query I need that excel file to be in my computer hard disk but file where I want to get updates is in network drive.

where did you get that idea from?

you can use MS Query to return data from a workbook on a shared rive...have done so myself several times

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

Please read FAQ222-2244 before you ask a question

Ok, I'll try to find right disk and file.
Right now I found only those files which are in my hard disk I didn't find any possibility to get acess to network drive.

You need to change the drive you are looking at - in the gui, there should be a folder navigation that can be changed to look at a network drive rather than your local one

Yes, you can access any folder that you have privileges to in Windows Explorer.
