Hi, I have a D5 Cpu version R14 and R16 would like to upgrade to a BP 250.
Do we need to update the license file?. What steps should be followed?
In the official records do not specify whether you need a new license file from R14.

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

If you have a system running in R14 then you should have a licence file stored in the system. This licence can be (re)used when the system is upgraded to R15, R16 or R17.

In the help files of the BMS you will find a lots of info on how to upgrade a system.
But basically you upload the new upgrade file to the Flash disc of the CPU-D5 board then order an upgrade of the system.
Also consider firmware upgrade of extension/line boards etc.

Does the update requests aastra? As if you change the R16 eepromps by some of the central license in R14 leaves or remains in R8.
This system has a cash card IPU. what if we update the SW to R16 must request a license upgrade?

thanks for the help.

No. Your existing licence file is valid when updating the system to R16.
You don't change the Eeproms on the CPU board. The system will automatically re-program the Proms when you the activate the upgrade process.
