update clients - what a pain

we have a real mix of clients out in the filed and we are moving to another farm. i have to use the program neighbourhood client 9.2 . cant use the web or agent. i have look at the tids for creating a single msi that delivers the new settings and that works on a new pc etc but on the pc's nthat are already there doesnt seem to take effect.

so looks to me like i need to remove all the clients.
i need to clean the directory from all profiles on the pc

am i missing something or can anyone say how you uninstall the client and clean the profs.

the clients are a mix or nt4 and xp
all are controlled with zen but same principles should cross all

I think there is a tick box that says update older clients, or all clients, you might want to have a play with that, the older clients might not have automatic updates enabled as well.

tick doesnt work for neighbourhood client only web and agent

i can overide the update from zen - it has the i dont care - just blat me tick
