Hi,

I have to update a Mysql database on the client side from mine, also Mysql. The amount of data to update/insert is around 2G and i've to do it twice a day.

What do you think it would be the best way to do it??

I've not really previous experience with mysql database.

Thanks in advance.

Look into using mysqlhotcopy. I'm not sure if that would be the best to do the job or if there was another product out there. I believe the mysql.com website has info on mysqlhotcopy. you don't have to bring the database down to use it.

I use mysqlhotcopy and it works well. I don't have any dbs > 2 gb however.
I've read of other options to sync those databases almost real time. Maybe someone else could answer that.
