update access software for cisco 776M 1

I need to update my Cisco Access Software to the remote user version in order to allow more than 30 users to access. I've just downloaded the Cisco Access Software ver c760-in.r_US_444 for the 776M ISDN router. My question is: Do I have to backup my profile before I update the software? Do I have to re-program my router after the update? My router is setup to use NAT.
