Hi
could anyone tell me if its possible to have a field on a page that I can update using Javascript or whatever?

for example (but not my requirement), a piece of text as a clock, updating via the timer every second, but I don't want to use an input box as it would look daft.

it may be simple, but I just odn't know how - or it may be impossible!

thanks in advance

Julian

Yes, it's possible. In fact, there are probably about a dozen different javascript clocks already written for you. Check out:

There are others too, but I don't have them bookmarked yet. Tracy Dryden

Well, if I could find anything on that site it would be good.

But after 10 minutes on it, have I found anything relevant? No.

As I said anyway, the clock is not what I'm after, but just a good illustration of my requirement. I just want to be able to update text on the html page without having a dirty 3d input box or something.

A-ha! Found a link through that to another site though, and I think I've found out what I'm looking for, ta.

<span etc... I think.

cheers

Julian
