Im sure ive seen this before but cannot find it...
i have two tables Patient(one) to Initial assessment(many)
They are linkes via the Patient table primary key of patient registration number(Regno)
the 'Initial' table has a autonumber PK and ive tried with and without it

i want to append records from the satalite to the main table with out removing the relationship..any easy way--or ill even try a dificult one. i would like to bring the satalte table in via email but we can use floppy or a zip disc

thanks for any input Mal

Hi,

Sorry - I'm confused.

You seem to be saying that you have a 1:Many relationship between tblPatient and tblInitial.

tblPatient has a PK of RegNo, and I assume that RegNo is in tblInitial as a fk (NOT pk).

If so, how can you add tblInitial records to tblPatient?
They are totally different structures.

Can you clarify please?

Regards,

Darrylle
