update a locked field with VBA

I have a toggle field on a form witch is update with the value from a table. 1 , 2 , 3 on the same form can VBA code update these locked fields, i dont want the use to be able to change the toggle field without input a date in field 1, field 2, field 3.

Why not disable the toggle fields until they enter a date? Use the AfterUpdate property of each date field to call the same function in code-behind-form. In this function, decide whether or not to disable the toggle buttons.
