Update 2 separte excel files

Hi guys, is it possible to update an excel file when I updated another excel file(supposed they are linked?) even if they are in different computers?

sorry if this sounds crazy, but im a beginner in excel.

my co-worker has an excel file(doing some calculations)sitting on her drive but she and our boss wants her calculations be reflected on his excel file sitting in his drive. these 2 computers are networked.

do you think there's a solution?

Probably the easiest solution is to use one workbook.

Save the one workbook to a shared location (a network drive).

Then they both can view the same workbook. She could always keep a backup on her local machine in case she's concerned her boss might mess something up.
