My Graphic designer is going to work on batch editing of product photos. The photos are sent to him in multiple zip files (50+). Is there a way to create a program to identify the zip files, extract the files inside to a folder, and move to the next one? Also, would it be possible if the zip files are in sub-folders with multiple levels to identify them as well and perform the same type of operation?

Thank you,

Mike

What have you tried so far and where in your code are you stuck ?
BTW how is awk related to your stuff ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

The thread got dumped here by accident.

I haven't started yet since I wanted to see if it was even possible first. I am in the research phase right now.

Thanks

Definitely possible, however probably more suited to a shell script than awk, so I'd suggest posting in forum822.

I haven't ever programed UNIX. BTW he will be using Win XP. I was thinking of a .bat file maybe or even a Excel VB script...

Yes, either of those would be the way to go (just "VB Script"... no need to involve Excel for this one). Or PowerShell. Or I'd use Cygwin, but that's for we bearded Unixey people.
