I FOUND A FILE CALLED UNWISE.EXE... and i have read in other forums that this may be a TROJAN VIRUS>... I dont know if it has any relationship with MBLAST.EXE or if it has any relationship with the NT AUTHORITY/ System thing... .... ANYWAys I downloaded Trend Micro's Free System cleaning software... I wanted to try to clean this UNWISE.EXE file... but i had no luck since the Log File from the system cleaning software tells me that Acces was denied to most of my PC's Folders .. dont know why... I read that this UNWISE.EXE contains a trojan virus that cannot be deleted by simply right clicking on it ... so i did not try it... I NEED HELP desperately I want to delete this file ... or clean it... My norton antivirus does not recognize it as a virus.... :( someone help att. JP oh by the way... . I DONT SEEM TO HAVE THE MBLAST.EXE virus... I did a search on my pc... do i have or not?

unwise.exe is normally an uninstall program.

unwise.exe sometimes gets infected / replaced with a virus, but if your (up-to-date?) AV says it's not infected, you may well be safe from this file.

if you decide the file is malignant, you may have to boot into safe mode or into dos in order to delete the file.

<marc> i wonder what will happen if i press this...[pc][ul][li]please give feedback on what works / what doesn't[/li][li]need some help? how to get a better answer: faq581-3339[/li][/ul]
