Unwanted popup driving me crazy

I don't suppose this is ME specific, it's more of a problem with MSIE. Since I'm running ME, I'm posting it here.
I have just started getting an annoying popup that comes up about every 2 or 3 minutes trying to send me to "www.thegamingclub.com" I have looked everywhere in my system startup files, deleted all my cookies, and uninstalled some recently installed programs trying to get rid of whatever it is that keeps starting up explorer and going to that address. It's tried to go there three times since I started typeing in this message...
Since my machine is on a LAN and attached to the internet all the time, it just keeps trying to go there perpetually. The school filtering software blocks it, but this popup thing is driving me crazy!
Anyone have a suggestion of how to purge my system of this spammer's curse?

Yes, use Spybot.

Download it, install it, update it, and scan for spywares.

Done that. Ran Spybot as well as Ad-Aware, BHODemon and HiJackThis. Also have tried checking for "gamingclub" in Regedit. Still getting popups though...

Maybe this is a new spyware that the software can't detect yet. You've checked both the run and runonce keys in the registry, the run key in win.ini, and the startup folder?

Could also be a virus, run a full up-to-date scan.
