The facts:
Under tools >> options >> send

-- Notify recipients is not checked - infact it is locked at the post office so it can not be chosed

-- Return notification When open is set to none, When deleted is set to none - in fact these options are also locked at the post office so I cannot change them.

But folks are still complaining of unwanted GroupWise return notification

The problem:
Unwanted notifications being sent >>

Just updating what I have already posted, as I have spent some time reading and meditating on this.

As I have tested this myself for weeks, and personally never had any issues. It is difficult to troubleshoot an issue that has been very sporadic.

In response to folks still complaining of unwanted GroupWise return notification I have done the following.

On the client settings: I have set Under tools >> options >> send

-- Notify recipients is not checked - it is locked at the post office so it can not be chosen.

-- Return notification When open - is set to none; When deleted - is set to none - in fact these options are also locked at the post office so the end user cannot change them.

On the Internet Gateway Server settings: I Have Outbound Status Levels set to none and Convert Status to Messages set to no.

Simply put, what all this means is that our server should not have any way of even being able to generate a GroupWise status notification. This means that even if someone wants to enable any type of internet status notification, I have killed any way of doing it.
