I'm creating a very simple report out of CR8.0 - w/ ACCESS as my database. I have two groups and everything looks OK except at the beginning of the report - I have a couple of fields before my first group header. I tried to delete these unwanted fields, but when I delete it, it deletes all my detailed data. Any way of removing detailed section data that you don't want w/out deleting the rest?

These are probably records that are blank in the group field, and are adding an invisible third group to the beginning of the report.

Add a rule in the select expert that your group field has to be greater than (empty) and these two records should go away. Ken Hamady
