Could be the Gratuitous ARP (GARP). You can turn this off at the device level on all phones using BAT.

How ?

If you don't have too many phones, you can go to the CCMAdmin pages, select your phone device, and at the bottom of the page there is a drop down box for Gratuitous ARP; make sure it's set to disabled.

In the Bulk Administration Tool (BAT), you select the Update Phones option, and enter the appropriate fields in your query, then run it. The changes are made in, well, bulk.

The method you choose all depends on the number of phones you have. We have @1200, so I usually use BAT.

What GARP function anyway ? and why it's enabled by default ..

The problem is that the Switch is the source of the ARP Request asking about the CCM IP Address ..

GARP if enabled Indicates whether the phone learns MAC addresses from Gratuitous ARP responses. Disabling the phone's ability to accept Gratuitous ARP will prevent applications that use this mechanism to monitor and record voice streams from working. If voice monitoring is not desired GARP can be disabled ...

this is a tip in ma BOX also :)

Blade :
can you paste some of the unwanted Traffic you mentioned before ?

Thanks ,,
