Unusual viewing problem

I have a client using the CE9.0 active x viewer.
From time to to time he finds that he is unable to get beyond page 1 (on a multipage report) or is unable to drill down.

No other client has reported this problem.
Any suggestions welcome as it has me beaten.

Does he have (or has he ever had) an earlier ActiveX viewer for Crystal installed?

What OS is he running?

No previous Report viewer loaded.
It happens on multiple machines in this site.
The only thing that is notably different (from our other clients) is the firewall which is IP Cop running on a Linux Box.
