unusual proxy restrictions

We want to:
* limit access by username
* have blocked access with allowed sites
* track and be able to report users activities

***Oh yeah. Can't be an MS product. Linux or appliance server would fit the bill.
Any suggestions?
 
squid using one of their authorisation scripts.

there is a whole host of configuration stuff and log reporting that can be done on the log files as well.
 
We've been playing with Squid for a short while. The goal was for an appliance, but if it must be a server we are ok with that.
